Safe Blogging, and Commenting

Here are a few quick tips for safe blogging and leaving a good blog comment:

Safe Blogging:

  • Never ever, share any personal information on your blog.

  • Whatever you post you should be proud of. A good check is: "Would it be okay if my future boss saw this? Would it be okay with me if God saw this?"

  • Never link to something that you haven't even read. It might contain weird or creepy material, but you had no idea, because, you didn't read it.

  • Don't post any inapropriate photos of yourself, you never know who is looking.

  • Be careful of the people you become involved with, they might not be who they say they are.

  • Posting something that might harass, defame, or hurt others, is wrong! Don't do it!

  • Be prepared, people will disagree and challenge you, don't get offended

  • Have fun, post things, and comment on other peoples posts.

Good Commenting

  • Be interactive, listen and respond to others.

  • Use these tips

Give Thanks

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks. That is what Paul is telling the Thessalonians in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. He tells us to give thanks in all circumstances.

If you were stuck under a car, or your best friend just died, Paul isn't telling you to be thankful for the circumstance you are in. You don't have to be thankful that you are stuck under a car, or be thankful that your best friend just died. However, Paul tells us to be thankful in the circumstance. So if you were stuck under a car, you could be thanking God that you are not dead, or thanking him for the people who are lifting the car. If your friend just dies you can be thankful for that time that you were with him/her, or for having such great memories with her.

So God is really saying this, through Paul:

Give thanks while you are in all circumstances. Give thanks for all the things that are happening in your life and turning you into a better person. Give thanks for all of the people in your life. Give thanks for God's mercy and grace. For this is the Lord's will. He wants you to do this. In fact he commands us to do this. He doesn't say,
"Oh, if you feel like it, just give thanks."
No. He specifically tells us to "Give thanks in all circumstances."

It may seem like a lot of work, but if your mind and heart are open in a state of prayer, all the time, you will be thanking God more than you would suspect.
When you do thank God, it will be better for you, and more blessings will come down upon you, because, "This is God's will for you in Chirst Jesus." And As we well know, God's will is never ever to ruin you, hurt you or torture you, but his will is to bless you. We can make it alot easier on ourselves if we quit resisting, and just thank God for everything in this life.

Recital Pictures

Recital - May 8th

River City Dance School put on an amazing performance for their recital at Lewiston High School, on May 8th. I, am in fact a student at the dance school, and I really enjoyed dancing in four of the dances. I was in a ballet dance, a hip hop piece, a lyrical piece, and, one of my favorites, a Micheal Jackson dance! Dancing on stage is soo much fun, however, so is being backstage. You just get to chill back there with your friends and try to ignore the nerves that are twisting your stomach into knots. But when is does come time to perform on the stage remember to SMILE!! I remember messing up during the dress rehersal, and when I told people afterwards, they told me that they didn't notice my mess up because they were looking at my face, and my smile! I love dancing, but I have to admit, that smiling on stage is more important than getting the moves right! Recital was amazing and I can't wiat till next year!!

Friends

This poem is dedicated to Morgan Ashe, my best friend.

Friends
By: Melanie Berreth

Like peas in a pod
We're as close as can be
She's with my in ups,
with me in downs.
A nice warm hug is there
whenever i need it,
no matter where.
Over hot cocoa,
or even some tea,
we discuss many things.
She is always there for me.
We confide in each other,
about things we've never told.
Friends are to precious to lose.
She is a chest with a lock.
With all of my secrets inside.
She would never tell a single soul,
of the things that i confide,
But keeps them under lock and key,
to prevent embarrassing me.
And I am to her as she is to me,
I am her chest with a lock and key.
As friends I hope,
we never part,
As sisters forever be.
We will be
close friends,
for all eternity.
Thank You, Morgan.
